18th Century Style, Paint Decorated Candle Box

This unique offering was entirely Hand-Made and decorated by a local artisan with a lifetime of experience in traditional trades. All materials and workmanship are traditional to the 18th Century. The dovetailed construction of the box has been performed in the neatest manner. A wonderful beaded molding has also been included around the rim of the box. The lid mortice and beveled lid construction have been executed to simulate 250 years of use, care and natural age. This is a very natural and pleasing feature of this box. The artistic paint decoration on this piece is simply stunning. The colors, texture, sheen and overall design composition are traditional as well. All of the art work has also been aged in a manner that complements the box construction perfectly.
