This is an early 1800’s Ladder Back Rocker that was made in Eastern Pennsylvania, also known as the Delaware Valley. It features a 5 slat design to the back and still retains an early rush seat. There are wonderful turnings throughout the entire chair giving it a lot of aesthetically pleasing features with a very graceful design. The chair would make a great addition to any period setting and still sits and rocks well.
