Success In the Field

Here s the first deer I bagged with the .54 cal. Yorktown that I built from a Cabin Creek kit. I m a dairy farmer and have to go stalking as they re bedded down usually by the time I get out. I kind of pulled a "Hawkeye" on this one. I saw where they were headed and sprinted around some cover to head them off. I finally made the shot from 15 yds. with a tailwind. Even I could hit that. That s a knife Shane built near the entry wound. Brad and Chris were very patient with my "stupid gunbuilding questions" and really helped me make a pretty respectble firearm. What s more fun building one or shooting one? Keep your powder dry!
