Here at Cabin Creek Muzzleloading we are a Full Time, Professional, 18th Century Gunsmithing shop who specializes in period craftsmanship and recreating heirloom quality flintlock rifles through precision hand work. We are a father & son duo (Brad & Shane Emig) who together bring nearly 60 years of combined experience to our craft.

We’d like to thank you for your continued interest and support of our custom work. It has always been our desire to offer our customers the most authentic, high quality, artistic, and historically correct products that we can. In an ongoing effort to accomplish that goal we continue to research, design, and innovate our products to the highest quality possible. Over the years we have developed a wide variety of items and options to choose from when considering purchasing something from our shop, and we encourage you to browse through our web page to see all that we offer.

Each project we take on is considered an individual work of art, and before the actual building process of your project begins, it will be thoroughly researched and documented for historical correctness.  Once fabrication begins, you may be assured that great attention to detail is paid to each and every aspect of your project.  For those customers requiring the absolute finest in authenticity; we offer completely hand crafted Rifles, Pistols and Fowling pieces that are produced using period techniques.  These unique pieces feature skelp-welded and hand-forged wrought iron barrels, hand forged wrought iron locks, and all hand crafted mountings that are made right here in our shop by our very own hands.  Each and every screw, lock bolt, inlay, and affixment is made by hand in an 18th Century manner just as it was done 250 years ago.  For us, this is what traditional gunsmithing is all about.

We offer a wide variety of products and services directly related to the gunsmithing trade in Colonial America, and many years of researching and hard work has developed our shop into one of the most unique 18th century gun shops in the continental U.S.

We offer complete gunsmithing and repair services as well, for both antique and contemporary muzzleloaders, with lock tuning and lock repair work being a major part of our services. Whether it be from improper lock geometry, wear and tear on parts, or poor maintenance, our experience in lock repair is unmatched.  We offer all other manner of work as well, such as barrel coning, frizzen hardening, or spring making as a few examples.

If we can assist you in any way, please reach out to us at the shop. We look forward to working with you and seeing your dream piece brought to life through the artistry and craftsmanship of the 18th Century.
