Jacob Dickert Rifle

This Jacob Dickert inspired rifle was locally built here in Hallam by a long time muzzleloading enthusiast and friend, Wayne Lewis, who then brought it to our shop to have it carved and finished. Wayne stocked the rifle from a blank of quilted curly maple using a 42″ Colerain barrel in 40 caliber, a Large Siler Flintlock, and a Bivins single trigger. Once stocked Wayne brought the rifle to our shop where Chris Warner then finished it, relief and incise carving it in the style of Jacob Dickert. Once carved, Brad finished the rifle, staining it with our traditional 18th Century aqua fortis stain and applying a hand rubbed oil finish.  This rifle has been well cared for and exhibits a beautiful color and finish that is rarely found on a newer build.
