18th Century Candlesticks SOLD

This is a very rare and unique Pair of Wrought Iron, 18th Century candlesticks with applied brass wedding bands. They are in superb condition with absolutely untouched, as found surfaces. The slides for adjusting the candle height work flawlessly on both pieces. The surfaces exhibit a rich, soft and warm level of oxidation that has built up over centuries of use and care. The result is pleasing and visually appealing. It is so difficult to find a pair of these candlesticks that exhibit the form and proportional excellence of this pair, but to find them in exceptional condition with untouched surfaces is almost impossible.
