This is a custom built .54 caliber Percussion Hawken by David Hughes. David signed the underside of the barrel and dated it, May 1983. This rifle features a 36″ long Douglas XX barrel with 8 groove square bottom rifling and an L&R percussion lock. It is stocked in curly maple with aged iron mounts and a pewter nose cap. The trigger pull is approx. 13.5″ long and the rifle has an OAL of 52 3/4″. This rifle shows little to no sign of use with the exception of a few small dents on the stock.
