Lehigh Rifle by Shane Emig

Here is a unique opportunity to acquire one of our rifles without the long wait time. This Lehigh County style rifle was built by Shane and incorporates a unique blending of styles and features. It was stocked from a nice piece of figured Cherry and stained with a traditional aqua fortis stain, providing a soft, warm look against the aged iron, polished brass mounts and silver inlays. For the bones of the build it features a 38″ Colerain C weight barrel in .54 caliber with Gain Twist rifling, a Large Siler flintlock and a Davis single trigger, which together have all been tuned for a fast and reliable ignition. With that combo, this rifle balances exceptionally well weighing in at only 7 lbs. 2 oz. and measuring in at at 54″ in overall length.

Bold file work on the brasses, hand engraved silver inlays, and a unique sliding wood patchbox are some of the unique features that this piece offers, as well as hand filed 16 sided faceted ram rod pipes and a hand coned muzzle. This rifle was finished as a “new” rifle, void of any aggressive faux aging, and shows only a hint of oxidation on the brasses to match up to our signature black oxide finish on the iron parts. Providing a soft, worn in luster on an otherwise new rifle.
