Early Southern Iron Mounted rifle by Don Bruton. Don stocked this rifle in a nice piece of walnut and paired it up with a 42″ long, 54 caliber swamped barrel by Bobby Hoyt. The custom made barrel features gain twist rifling and a hand coned muzzle by Brad Emig. The lock is a Jim Chambers “Dale Johnson” Flintlock that’s been paired with a hand made trigger by Don. The rifle features hand forged iron mounts with an aged finish that matches the dark, warm patina on the stock. This rifle holds and balances exceptionally well and feel light in the hand, weighing in at just 7 lbs. The OAL is 58″ long and the trigger pull length is 14″.
