This is a nice custom rifle by David Dodds, built in the Reading Pennsylvania style. It’s stocked in a piece of curly maple and features a 44″ Getz barrel in .54 caliber with a Chambers Early Ketland Flintlock that has been hand tuned here at the shop. The rifle is outfitted with a hand made patchbox, hand made ram rod pipes, muzzle cap and a hand made side plate, all of which tie in the Reading school. It has been relief carved in the Reading style and given a warm, aged look, like a well used rifle of the period. The trigger pull length is 13 1/2″ long.
