Stocked in a piece of lightly figured Maple and adorned in iron mounts, this smooth rifle by Lowell Haarer has a great look and feel to it. The rifle has been decorated with relief and incised carving throughout, really bringing it to life and allowing the contrast of the finish to show. It features a .62 caliber, octagon to round smoothbore barrel that measures 41 1/2″ long, an English round face lock and Davis trigger. The pipes are hand made as well as the toe plate and the vent pick under the cheek piece. The barrel is signed “Lowell Haarer” on the top flat of the barrel and signed “No 44″ near the breech. It has a trigger pull length of 13 3/4”.
