I can’t speak highly enough about this beautifully made Southern Banded Horn that was expertly hand crafted by Mike Small. I feel this is one of the best contemporary interpretations of a banded horn that I’ve come across. The horn has a light and elegant feel, showcasing delicate turnings, symmetry, and overall expert composition. Paired with the horn is an equally elegant strap, hand stitched from a composition of antique coverlet remnants and cowhide, by noted bag maker Eric Ewing. This outfit is filled with intricate detail everywhere you look, and is a beautiful piece of contemporary artwork.
The horn has a great curve and a twist to it, allowing it to securly snug against your bag or body, and measures in at 15″ on the outside curve. The strap is a nice 2″ wide for a comfortable carry, and measures 45″ in length between the attachment points.
